Hi, I'm the founder and lead developer at Afanc Software® Solutions. Let me share a bit about my journey and why I started this company.
Growing up locally in Cribyn where Afanc Software® Solutions is now based, I understand the unique challenges facing small businesses in rural communities. After graduating from Cardiff University in 2015 with a degree in Computer Science, my journey began building websites for travel agencies on behalf of a travel agency CRM business.
This initial experience evolved into developing and maintaining comprehensive systems for travel agency operations, before progressing to become the API developer for a property lettings system, and eventually their dedicated App Developer.
Through this progression, I gained extensive experience in full-stack development, cross-software integrations, and both app and web development. This diverse background taught me not just how to code, but how to understand what businesses truly need from their technology.
The inspiration to start Afanc Software® Solutions came from watching my family operate a garage in Cribyn. This experience highlighted the real difficulty small businesses face in accessing quality web and software solutions at reasonable rates - a gap I'm passionate about filling.
